"I would like to commend the Arizona Supreme Court for its ruling today. The Court's rejection of an injunction in this case will save the state tens of millions of dollars in the next few months alone.

"We recognize that the serious and difficult budget decisions made during this prolonged national recession affect Arizona citizens in their daily lives. The AHCCCS budget for Fiscal 2012 and the plan we have prepared to implement were not easy decisions to make. But they are necessary in order to balance the budget while maintaining core services for all Arizona citizens. Today's ruling was the best decision for the state, and I am thankful for the Court's swift decision."
